These excellent skillets are pre seasoned for out of the box use, the 26.5cm pan would happily hold 6 to 8 large rashers of bacon for the hungry family and the 20cm would take 3 or 4 for a couple of people. We are firm believers that 'Simple is Beautiful' and these are the simplest of pans and rather beautiful in their own way. The skillets are made from heavy cast iron and can be used on any type of stove or oven (except the microwave!), though they are most at home on the open fire where they out preform anything else because their thickness gives the best even distribution of heat. Brilliant for bacon, excellent for eggs, and perfect for pancakes. Throw away your teflon coated, non-stick plastic gimmickry and get a beautiful skillet. Their heaviness also lends itself perfectly to fending off hungry bears with their eye on your picnic, though we cannot legally advise that you use them in this way.
